Wolfman & Sue in the Wolf Wagon were in place before Linda and I even arrived in our '60 Ranchero at 3:45. The weather forecast was predicting a perfect fall evening. Gary's HHR was in the spot he takes on a Wednesday. James in his '67 Firebird would park next to us. Bill & Doris in their '79 T-Bird would park in the second spot from the stage, as usual. Stan & Maryann would be out in their daily driver, they couldn't stay long so the Pacer stayed home. Greg, the Poinciana Kid would bring out a '01 Mustang. Dave, & Mesha in their '83 Grand Marquis would arrive Esther was close behind in her daily driver. Joe & Penny would park the '88 Ranger Pickup next to the bleachers they would work the Caricature booth just down the street, they would pop over to visit once and a while. Graham, G4HFG, from Oldham, England came in over the HAM radio to our event as he always does. Bert, Ernie & Mitchell in the "Elvis Tribute" PT Cruiser would take the spot next to the stage. "Mustang Mike" would back his '64 Greenbrier next to James. Tony & Lynn brought out their '40 Ford,  Steve & Cheryl would bring their '64 Corvair out to this event for the first time. Nick & Francine would rumble up "Trophy Row" in their '32 Ford 5 window Coupe. Ray would park his '32 Ford 3 window Coupe next to them. Morris would bring Sherill and his '50 Ford Coupe out to this event for the first time. Mike Singer, KJGNI, would make it to the controls of the "Blue Room". Neil & Elaine would bring out the '62 Rolls Royce. Bob & Darless in their '36 Ford Humpback Tudor would take over the 50/50 ticket sales that Linda & James had been conducting. Ron & Nancy would park their HHR north of the stage, Richard & Lelia would back their '64 Fairlane 2nd up from the stage, Juan would park his '69 Volkswagen next to them. By now Brian & Lisa with Quintino at the wheel of his new '08 Custom Radio Flyer would be checking out the cars and visiting with all.

Regular spectators included Anna, Jasmine & Glenda, Coy, Jim & Keith. Two early birds for 50/50 tickets were Kathleen and Moira vacationing from Aberdeen, Scotland they were looking forward to Dwight’s performance as they had been “In Town” for the Anniversary Cruise and enjoyed his show. Linda and I spoke with them before Dwight’s last set and were introduced to the rest of the group Eddie and Ron. Jimi was the first member of "Blue Suede Review"  to arrive tonight followed by Paul, Peter and Shawn then Bill & Karen, Dwight & Meagan.  More cars would arrive that included Butch in his '84 LTD, Steve, Charlie & Marie in the '77 Coupe deVille. Pablo & Nilda in their latest Cruiser '68 Nova, Laura, NO4OO would bring out her friend Cat in her in her '98 Firebird. Nancy would bring the '91 Mustang Convertible from Lakeland. "Red Racer" Ted, KE4TTE would bring his Nismo Nissan and park north of the stage. Gary & Wanda would park their '55 Bel Air "Remember When" next to the stage. Emma would arrive in her daily driver, Jerry & Judy would bring out the '86 Fiero GT and last but not least, Ken & Wanda would arrive in their '78 "Indy Pace Car" Corvette.

It was time, The "Blue Suede Review" would take stage and at 7:05 Dwight Icenhower as Elvis would start the "Tribute to the King" show. Tonight they would even mix it up a bit with a Beetles tune, Dwight is also a big fan of their work. As usual when he is on stage the time flies by. "Mustang Mike" Bob & I would take stage for the drawings and award right after the first set. Cruiser of the Week went to Cruiser # 23 "Wolfman" and Sue in their "Wolf Wagon". Pablo had the winning ticket for the $81. Cruiser #147 Nick Cortese won the $70 Cruise-A-Matic. Next week it stars over at $10. When we were done it was time to visit with everyone that was out tonight. Linda spoke with Mary, the volunteer from the Florida Living Nursing Center who was out with her husband and reported that the residents had enjoyed themselves so much last week they want to come again but next time they want to stay later to see more of Dwight’s show. Ed, WB8BHL would stop by after work, it was too dark for him to take any photos so he would admire the cars and talk about his Mustang.

It certainly was a good night! Lots of friends, both new and old, Old Cars and Rock and Roll, the cars ranged from a '62 Rolls Royce to a '64 Corvair Van. Many Cruisers would stay until the end of the 3 sets. Check out all of the photos linked out from the Photo Indexes below and the YouTube videos. Dwight even helped Ted get his car started, looks like 5 hours of his light show was too much for the battery. Tracy's Custom scarf contest, these are special scarves that Karen made for Dwight, continues next week, you'll need a receipt for any store in Block 2 to enter.

Thank You to Old Town for inviting us out every week, to the Old Town Merchants association for sponsoring "A Tribute to the King", to Tracy Old Town's events director that brought us the "Rock at the Clock" event and to Gary & Dave our own TCB guys for giving us the time that they do and to all of the Cruisers that are starting to come out on a Wednesday Nite. Come on out, "Rain or Shine!" Cruisers, if you don't want to bring out the car because of the weather come on out anyway, lets build the audience on our own. Remember good entertainment and good friends makes a great evening in our "Home Town".
