"Duke" Davis' Wednesday Nite Cruise-In
Brought to you by Saint Cloud "Bites"
at "Magnolia Square"

East Highway 192
Saint Cloud, Florida
In Memory of C. "Duke" Davis

When Linda & I arrived at the "Square", just about 4:45 in our '61 Corvair Coupe a little later than we usually make it out, it was just one of those days. Laura, KI4ZJX, came up from the "Green Swamp" in her Firebird a little earlier today to do some Tower Climbing at our house, then she headed to the "Square" when we did, but I forgot something and had to go back. Any way, not only did she beat us there so did "Mustang Mike" and Emma, "Big John" in this '54 Nash Ambassador Custom,  Jack in his '29 Model A, "Old Yeller". "Scary Larry" in his '86 Mustang, Paul in his '58 DeSoto and James in his '67 Firebird convertible. Graham, G4HFG, from Oldham, England came in over the radio as we were backing our car in to a spot. Bill was next to arrive in his Blazer. Roy F would park his '64 Galaxie 500XL in it's place of honor for the evening. Mark R stopped by in his daily driver, I think he may have bought the Nash, it will be good to see him out Cruising again. Ron A backed his '61 Caddy into a spot behind the DJ rig. Dan Z brought his '59 Edsel out the "Square" tonight. Ed & Sarah arrived in "70 Shortbox" Chevy pickup and parked next to Ron about the time that Don R arrived in the '68 Mustang Fastback. "Lucky Louie" brought out his favorite '52 Ford and placed it next to him. Fred stopped by to see "Big John" in his daily driver. Then the Rumble we heard got louder, yep, it was Nick in his '32 Deuce Coupe followed by Bob, in his '68 Chevelle SS396.

"Bites" was quite busy by now and the night was still young, it was warm with a nice breeze, OK so it was almost a wind. Jim would back his '67 GTO in to a spot just up from us, the "Wookie" in his Mustang would take the spot to the East of the Patio.  Ed, WB8BHL stopped by via the Radio, he and his son may make it out tomorrow night. He can't wait to get his Mustang on the road. Andy would finish off the row behind the DJ Rig with his '79 deVille. Bill would be out in his '30 Ford Street Rod with news of another car he just acquired. Steve & Charlie parked the '77 deVille next to Jim's GTO. Tom & Debbie would make it to the "Square" with their '66 Chevy Impala for the first time. They would be Joined by Brian, Missy and Anthony in the '71 Chevy Pickup. Bob would be out in a '65 Rambler Ambassador 990 convertible instead of his '40 Buick. Bert & "Ernie" would stop by in the daily Driver, then Al would arrive in his Model A. George would make it out in his "Heirloom" '61 Falcon just before the drawings.  Again the night just flashed by after a lot of visiting with all that made their way out. It was 28 cars all told that made it out, it was over 30 Cruisers.

Bill Khoenle  Cruiser #52 had the winning ticked for the $45 50/50, he donated $5 back to the Cruise. Thank You!

Cruiser #65, Walter Yarwood was drawn in the "Cruise-A-Matic"  but he wasn't out tonight  So the Cruise-A-Matic" rolls over to $30.

"Cruiser of the Week" went home James Butler, Cruiser #122 in his '67 Firebird convertible.

Thank you to the Robertson Family for having us all out once again and giving us a home for our event each and every week. Thank you to the "Bites" staff, Brittany, Cody & Chris,  for taking such good care of all of us.
