"Duke" Davis' Wednesday Nite Cruise-In
Brought to you by Saint Cloud "Bites"
at "Magnolia Square"

East Highway 192
Saint Cloud, Florida
In Memory of C. "Duke" Davis

Linda & I were the first to arrive at the "Square", just about 4:20 in our '61 Corvair Coupe. It was a while before Paul would show up in his "Toy Truck". Mark R would follow "Scary Larry" in his '86 Mustang and "Big John" in his latest car, a very rare, 1965 Plymouth (Belvedere) Satellite convertible.  "Mustang Mike"  situated the DJ Rig into it's spot just before 5:00 but Bar patrons were upset that they had to move their vehicles to make way for the rig. Ed & Sarah arrived in "70 Shortbox" Chevy pickup, about the time Graham, G4HFG, from Oldham, England came in over the radio. Ron A backed his '61 Caddy into a spot next to Ed, Don R would then park next to him in his '68 Mustang Fastback. Later "Lucky Louie" brought out his favorite '52 Ford and placed it next to him. Dan Z brought his '59 Edsel out tonight about the time that Allan from Old Town stopped by for a visit. Bill K would be out in his '81 Blazer parked next to Crossfire that Nick had brought out. Bob would park his '40 Buick in a spot by John's Mopar. Jean would join us in her '36 Ford. Don M would park his '64 Corvair convertible in the front line. He had photos of his 4 year long project, that great '48 Chevy pickup that he has been working on, it's nearing completion. Bob, in his '68 Chevelle SS396 would be followed in by Nick in his '32 Deuce Coupe just before Fred arrived in his recently finished Roadster. They all parked down by Mike's '65 GTO. Roy had to park his '64 Galaxie to the East of the Patio. Jim would back his '67 GTO in the vacated spot next to our Corvair. Andy in his '79 deVille would park next to Steve & Charlie that were out in the '77 deVille. George and Mary would be out in their '72 Monte Carlo. Laura, KI4ZJX, would make it up from the "Green Swamp" in her Firebird. Bill & Cyndy joined in with us for the first time in their Model A Tudor Street rod, Welcome. It was also very good to see Walter in his '68 Chevy Impala Super Sport.

Kevin, KM4FSU, would be out as a spectator, James rode his Motorcycle, he is working on the Firebird. Ed, WB8BHL, Ted, KE4TTE checked in with us over the radio and passed along their hellos as did Zahra, W7ZMA from Reno, Nevada. The night was beautiful, near 90 degrees and a nice breeze.

Then Al would arrive in his Model A. George would make it out in his "Heirloom" '61 Falcon just before the drawings.

Somehow the night just flashed by after a lot of visiting with all that made their way out. It was 30 cars all told.

Roger Knight, AKA "Scary Larry", Cruiser #142 had the winning ticked for the $40 50/50, he donated $5 back to the Cruise.

Cruiser #42, James Lamb was drawn in the "Cruise-A-Matic"  but he wasn't out tonight  So the Cruise-A-Matic" rolls over to $20.

"Cruiser of the Week" went home with Roy & Judy Fitz, Cruiser #174 in their '64 Galaxie 500XL.

Thank you to the Robertson Family for having us all out once again and giving us a home for our event each and every week. Thank you to the "Bites" staff, Brittany, Cody & Chris,  for taking such good care of all of us.
