"Duke" Davis' Wednesday Nite Cruise-In
Brought to you by Saint Cloud "Bites"
at "Magnolia Square"

East Highway 192
Saint Cloud, Florida
In Memory of C. "Duke" Davis

The day's weather is fantastic, The STS-123: Endeavour is due home to KSC today while we are at the Cruise-In. It was waived off but we heard the twin sonic booms as we turned on to our street about 8:30.

Linda and I arrived just past 4:00, Laura, KI4ZJX was on the radio for her long trip from the "Green Swamp" to the Cruise-In. Paul was the next to arrive in his '58 DeSoto then Bill in his '81 Blazer. Nic was there in his '68 Firebird convertible. Bill the Photographer was out tonight, he is taking his better half out for her birthday tomorrow night. "Scary Larry" would then park his '86 Mustang in it's place of honor. Ron A, in his '61 Caddy was followed in to the lot by Dick in his 2+2 Mustang, they parked in the front row. "Lucky Louie" was out in his '52 Ford, parked just where he likes it. Ron H was the next to make his way in, he parked his '30 Ford Tudor next to our '60 Ranchero. "Cousin John" stopped by in his daily driver for a little while.

Most of the Cruisers were inside "Bites" for something to eat, Roy arrived in his '64 Galaxie 500 XL and joined them. It was a little later when Jim brought his '67 GTO in and parked it just West of the DJ rig. Fred form Michigan joined us tonight, a short 10 day stay this time but he will be back in May. Then Andy brought his '79 deVille in and parked just down from us, following him was the "Wookie" in his '83 Mustang. Laura parked her Firebird next to Jim after that long ride up from the "Swamp". Steve & Charlie were right behind her in the '77 deVille. Emma then made her way out to the Cruise, I didn't see when Danny made it out but there he was. Nic left in his Firebird so it left a spot open in "Pontiac Row", well it was called that tonight. "Big Jim" made a surprise visit in his '88 Beretta, you know that one with radically modified, drive train. He has been very busy with out of town guests the last few months. Just before 7:00 Al parked his Model A next to Laura. Jackie was out for a while to see Dick and visit for a little while.

It was 10 minutes after 7:00 by the time George made it to his parking place, the last to arrive.

Jim Rouse, Cruiser #209 had the winning ticket for the $40 50/50, his number was also drawn for the $10 "Cruise-A-Matic". Next week it starts over at $10.

"Cruiser of the Week" went home, all the way to the "Green Swamp" with Laura Pennington, Cruiser #73 in her '98 Firebird.

On to the Photos.

Congratulations to the Winners, Thank You to all that came out tonight.

Newsletter #182 went on sale this week.

See you all "Out There".
