This is the last event of the summer up here, and was it a beautiful day
to end a year with!!!! The temp climbed up to 80 degrees with a nice
gentle breeze....Hard for me to understand how it can go downhill so
quick...in a few days the high temps will only be in the low 50's...
After meeting over 150 cars from the surrounding areas, including the
Columbia County Corvettes and the Dells Cruisers, we left Reedsburg Wi.
to head out on our 119 mile cruise, going down the back roads of
Mauston, New Lisbon, LaFarge, Lima, Hustler, Yuba, and a few other
places I think I missed the names of, must have blinked as we drove
thru. Mother nature put on a very impressive show, making this a very
scenic and enjoyable event. We then made our way to the little
metropolis known as "Wonewoc" (population 834, including Sharon and
myself) where the whole of down town had been blocked off for us to
display our vehicles. Music and special events were held capping off a
fun day.
A big thank you to Jesse Stout, President of the Wonewoc Summer Cruisers
and club members for great job!!! And yes, "Wonewoc" is now our new
Yankee home...
Thank you for letting me tell you about part of our Northern
adventures...
Happy Trails !!

Thanks for reporting in, Tony!
Some of you may remember Tony, he was a regular with our bunch for years,
he was the Events Director for FACACA and the August 2007 Cruiser of the
Month at Old Town, we sure miss him and Sharon. He stays on touch via
the HAM radio and e-mail and once their season gets back on line we'll
get more stories and photos.
